Preparing for Climate Change Through Collaborative Watershed Natural Asset Management
How can watersheds help us with community resiliency and preparedness to climate change?
Join us on July 22 to hear from the Municipal Natural Assets Initiative and the Comox Valley Regional District on how they are valuing the natural assets of their shared watershed and how these natural assets can provide regional resilience in a changing world. Presentations will be hosted by Roy Brooke (Municipal Natural Assets Initiative) and Kris La Rose (Comox Valley Regional District).
Participants will leave the session with:
1. An understanding and appreciation for the services that natural assets can provide to communities.
2. An understanding of how natural assets in the Comox Lake watershed assist with climate change adaptation and resilience, economically, environmentally and socially.
3. An understanding of the Comox Valley’s model for watershed-scale collaboration. Register today!
